SENTI
Residential Dementia Care
Training and QA Accreditation

What is Senti?

Senti delivers the evidence that provider and registered managers need to prove:

  • Patients that can communicate effectively are cared for in a dignified and respectful way

  • Patients with confusion, memory loss or dementia are cared for as unique people.

It is underpinned by a programme designed specifically for the residential care sector:

  • Senti Vocational Qualification (SVQ) evidence of staff competency in Communication/Observation processes

  • SVQ evidence of ‘leadership’ and ‘sustained’ use of the ‘Ethel’ and ‘Geoff’ Communication/Observation models

  • Sustained provision of dementia care evidence

  • Ongoing credible survey evidence

  • A well-organised self-assessment audit process

  • Good practices linked to National Minimum Standards (NMS)

  • A QA Certificate that endorses high levels of survey satisfaction and dementia evidence provision.

Registered Managers are licenced annually to use the Senti model in conjunction with:

  • Locality training/survey administration support

  • DBA action learning materials and training help-line

  • DBA training certification and validation service

  • DBA survey analysis and QA certification service.
